Laurie St-Georges of Quebec etched her name in the record books at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, stealing a remarkable seven ends en route to an 8-2 victory over Manitoba's Kaitlyn Lawes . St-Georges's historic performance began with a steal in the first end, followed by a blanked second. She then proceeded to dominate the game, scoring single points in each of the remaining ends from three to seven.
In other games within Pool B's first draw, Manitoba's Kerri Einarson emerged victorious over Newfoundland and Labrador's Brooke Godsland with a 6-4 score. Manitoba's Kate Cameron defeated Northwest Territories' Kerry Galusha 8-4, and Nova Scotia's Christina Black secured a 7-5 win against Ontario's Danielle Inglish. The 18-team competition has been divided into two pools, with the top three teams from each pool advancing to the championship round. These six teams will then compete for the four coveted Page playoff berths during the final weekend.
