William Rowson makes his debut as SSO director April 20, and on April 24 takes part in a special film screening at Sudbury Indie Cinema
Sudbury Symphony Orchestra holds a welcoming event for its new artistic and executive director, William Rowson, at 4 p.m. April 18 at Place des Arts.
Rowson, his wife and two daughters will make Sudbury their home in the 2024-25 season and beyond. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the University of Toronto, Rowson is hailed as one of Canada’s most compelling and versatile young artists for his work with orchestras across Canada. The highlights of Rowson's career so far are numerous and include composing and recording the orchestral soundtrack to the feature length film “Brotherhood” in 2020.
