With postponements due to Covid-19 outbreaks, Premier League sides now have a backlog of fixtures
But Chelsea and Liverpool are among the teams best equipped for the upcoming fixture bottleneck.
An outbreak of Covid-19 at Chelsea saw them field a depleted squad in their recent matches against Everton and Wolves, both of which ended as draws. Everton won’t be the only team to call on their youth players this winter. Leeds United’s injury crisis has given several players the chance to impress Marcelo Bielsa, including right-back Cody Drameh and 19-year-old forward Joe Gelhardt, who both played for 90 minutes in the recent loss against Arsenal.Getty Images
