Former RINK Academy therapist was part of Manitoba mission staff at 2023 Canada Winter Games

Injuries and the time it takes to recover from them are a critical part of the game in junior hockey and it takes professional care to make that happen.

The Prince George Spruce Kings have hired Kara Fulawka of Manitoba to take on the job as athletic therapist for the BCHL team. Fulawka knows how to keep hockey players healthy and speed their recovery times, having spent the past two seasons working for RINK Academy Training Centre/Testify Performance in Winnipeg.

Prior to that, she served as an athletic therapist for FC Manitoba and was part of the mission staff of Team Manitoba at the 2023 Canada Winter Games. “Kara will be a great addition to our organization,” said Kings general manager Mike Hawes. “Many aspects of the interview process were very impressive including her attention to detail and the pride she takes in her work. Our athletes will be well taken care of.”“I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Prince George community and am excited to have the opportunity to help the team excel this year,” said Fulwaka.
