The must\u002Dsee live and virtual theatre, musical, book, visual arts, dance and classical events happening this season around Metro Vancouver.
Ballet BC closes its season with an evening of commissioned pieces by choreographers new to the company. Felix Landerer contributes a work that explores the “human need for positivity and optimism in a world of chaos.” Another piece comes from Out Innerspace Dance Theatre. The company is led by Tiffany Tregarthen and longtime partner David Raymond, who also work with Kidd Pivot. The program also features the world premiere of a work by Dorotea Saykaly.
You can sense the pent-up audience demand. So many of us want to move away from our electronic devices to the rush of live performances. Here is a selection of some of the most exciting on offer from now until the end of the season: Opera and orchestra, but also choir, chamber music and a star recital.1.

Inspired silliness with more than a touch of satire is part of the answer, plus all those really good tunes like When I Was a Lad and I’m Called Little Buttercup.
