The National Capital Commission says the closures are needed to complete landscaping work at the Gatineau Park tourist attraction.

The National Capital Commission said the closures would last four weeks while landscaping work was completed at the lookout.

Access to the Champlain Lookout and to the closed section of the parkway will not be possible by road or hiking trail, the NCC said. The NCC is urging all park visitors to respect its work crews and to obey the instructions of new, temporary signs.
