A new TikTok video shows a Spider-Man: No Way Home fan, and expert cosplayer, jumping and flipping through the subway station in New York City. Alongside Superman and Batman, NYC’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is one of comics’ most popular characters—something which has translated to the silver screen. This century has seen three live-action web-slingers: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and, most recently, Tom Holland’s iteration in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios’ No Way Home represents a high-point for Spider-Man and superhero cinema. Taking place after Far From Home, No Way Home sees Peter dealing with the aftermath of Mysterio revealing his identity as Spider-Man to the world. So, Peter seeks out the help of Doctor Strange .
No Way Home marks the conclusion of another chapter for Spider-Man. At the end of the film, Peter is forgotten by everyone in the MCU as he swings off into the night wearing a homemade Spider-Man costume rather than Stark tech. With Holland saying he wants to take a break, Maguire and Garfield’s Spider-Men returning, and teases of Miles Morales’ live-action debut, the future of Spider-Man cinema is unknown.
