The city has brought in a few portable cooling units but the General Services Department said a new A/C unit will not be available until at least August 31, which is more than five weeks from now.

On Monday, I proposed that idea to Marty Lancton, President of The Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association.”That is a brilliant idea, that’s the kind of stuff we need to do to get things fixed,” said Lancton.
