A speeding suspect dies after crashing a vehicle while fleeing from Mobile officers, police say.
A suspect was killed Tuesday night in Mobile after losing control of his vehicle and crashing while attempting to flee from police, authorities said.Officers pursued the vehicle, which refused to stop and continued traveling westbound on Springhill Avenue, police said.
The driver, only publicly identified as an adult male because his family was yet to be notified of his death, lost control of the vehicle and careened into a tree. The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Springhill Hospital, where he later died.
