Spotify is testing a token-based promotion that lets fans of a handful of bands including Overlord and Kingship offer fans access to a specially curated playlist accessible via an NFT.
One of the bands involved is — of course — Universal Music Group's Kingship, a "supergroup" fronted by three rare Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs and a Mutant Ape. Developed by 10:22PM, a "next-gen Web3 label" the group is as much an exploration of what can be done with NFTs and metaverses as a musical act."Just to give you the vibe, we picked some of our favorites from Queen, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg and Led Zeppelin.
