The Sparks are relying swagger, experience and grace to carry them through playing seven games in a 14 day stretch between June 11-25.
Despite a 15-point win against Chicago, the Sparks only made 3 of 20 three-point attempts, shooting a paltry 15% from behind the arc.
“I feel her leadership is only going to pick up,” Miller said when asked about Thomas’ impact on the new look Sparks. “There’s going to be a calming influence of Jasmine, who has seen really good days and really tough days in this league and understands that there are all sorts in between and even within every game, the 40 minutes has ebbs and flows.”
“I think I can impact the game in a lot of different ways, offensively, defensively,” Stevens said. “My energy. I know I’m an energy type of player. I’m always smiling and laughing so just bringing that and using all of the talents that God gave me to impact the game for this team.”
