PETALING JAYA: The investigation paper into the Sg Gong pollution will be completed within a week so those responsible will be prosecuted as soon as possible, says the National Water Services Commission (SPAN).
Its chairman Wan Hassan Mohd Ramli said SPAN was in the process of completing the investigation into the Sg Gong pollution which led to millions without water supply taps since last Thursday .
"SPAN will take strong action against the polluters of Sg Gong, which led to water disruption affecting nearly five million consumers in parts of the Klang Valley. "Under Act 655, SPAN has the right to investigate and charge any party which commits an offence against the treated water supply and sewerage services, including pollution of raw water.
