Evercore ISI analyst Kutgun Maral reiterates an Outperform rating on SpaceX with a $230 price target, citing Elon Musk's recent disclosure of massive GPU deployments at Colossus 1 and 2. The note suggests the market is underestimating the company's compute capacity, which is expected to significantly boost 2027 revenue and EBITDA beyond consensus estimates, despite near-term increases in capital expenditure.
for the first time today. In the process, it deployed all 26 Starlink V3 satellites on board — essentially 26 revenue generators for the company.
But a note out at midday today from Evercore ISI SpaceX bull Kutgun Maral caught our eye. He said the next catalyst for SpaceX could be tied to its appetite for GPUs. And it's a catalyst investors may be overlooking. Maral reiterated a $230 price target on SpaceX and an Outperform rating.
SpaceX stock currently trades at $147, up about 5% in the past month.
"SPCX remains one of our top picks, and we think investors should be leaning into the story, as a post by Elon Musk on X detailing current and expected GPUs across Colossus 1 and 2 indicates the Street is underestimating the company's 2H26 compute and therefore 2027 revenue and EBITDA," Marel said. "Musk's post details that SPCX has 780k GPUs online at Colossus 1 and 2, and that it expects at least two — or three if they"get lucky" — 220k GB300 tranches by year-end.
We estimate that this would take capacity to ~2.3 GW with the two tranches and ~2.7 GW if all three materialize, well north of consensus at 2.1 GW. Near term, this implies 2H26 capex estimates will need to move much higher.
However, this positions 2027 revenue and EBITDA to come in significantly ahead of Street estimates even without ascribing credit for the company's ambitions for the upper end of 5-10 GW by YE2027 assuming current compute deals are maintained/extended and pricing remains healthy.
" Addressing why some investors have hesitated, Marel added,"We appreciate that the story is complex and that many investors remain on the sidelines until they get more comfortable with Starship , terrestrial compute , and feasibility of orbital compute/Starlink mobile. However, we don't think execution across terrestrial compute is getting the credit it deserves, and that the colossus ramp is being missed. "
