This is the debut of a specialty pizza that will only be available through June.
On Sunday, April 3, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Square Pie Guys Oakland location, the “Souvla Pie Guys” pizza will make its debut — Souvla’s chicken salad combined with Square Pie Guys’ Detroit-style pizza. Tender pulls of shredded chicken with pickled red onion, mizithra cheese, Souvla’s own “Granch” dressing and the creative use of navel orange slices sit gingerly atop the crispy rounded edges of a pan-baked pizza crust perfected by the Square Pie Guys.
A portion of the proceeds will go to La Cocina, which works to solve the inequity in business ownership for women, people of color and immigrants. La Cocina launched the careers of many successful food businesses in the Bay Area, such as
