During its 75th annual meeting, Southwest Research Institute leaders shared that 2022 was a record-breaking year in terms of research and funding.
Southwest Research Institute executives and researchers described new projects and recent achievements during the nonprofit's 75th annual meeting Monday.Seventy-five years after its inception, the San Antonio-based Southwest Research Institute continues to be a scientific force in the global research and development world.
“We always are trying to develop new opportunities,” said SwRI President and CEO Adam Hamilton. He noted that the institute currently has 350 job openings — the most since Tom Slick Jr.That’s because SwRI continues to broaden its areas of research, It also added two new technical divisions, the Space Systems Division and the Solar System Science and Exploration Division, both under a newly formed Space Sector.
