A Southwest 737 MAX made an emergency landing in Orlando; airline said the problem wasn’t related to the system under scrutiny after recent crashes
A Southwest Airlines Co. Boeing 737 MAX made an emergency landing at Florida’s Orlando International Airport after an engine problem forced pilots to abort a flight to an aircraft parking facility in California.
A spokeswoman for Southwest said the plane—with two crew on board—returned safely to Orlando after the plane experienced an engine problem. She said the problem wasn’t related to the computer system that has come under scrutiny since the crash of two 737 MAX jets in recent months.
