A shooting at Southpark Mall has left a 16-year-old in critical condition, the San Antonio Police Department said Saturday.
Officers arrived on the scene at the 2300 block of Southwest Military Drive about 2 p.m. Friday and discovered a 16-year-old male shot once in the abdomen, SAPD said.Grand jury indicts San Antonio man for murder in death of former News4 executive Witnesses accompanying the teen said he and another teenage male broke into “a physical fight” before the second teen brandished a firearm and shot the 16-year-old and fled along with “multiple suspects,” SAPD said.
Officers apprehended four juveniles at nearby businesses in connection with the shooting. One of them, a 15-year-old male, has been arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon “in addition to a felony warrant for aggravated robbery,” police said. According to SAPD, one of the juveniles was in possession of a firearm at the time of apprehension, but police are unclear if the weapon was the one used during the incident.
