South San also spoiled what could have been a party for the home team. McCollum would have clinched the district 28-5A championship with a win over the Bobcats. The loss to South San also snapped an eight-game winning streak that had lifted the Cowboys into the top spot in the district. “It was shaky there for a little bit,” South San coach Robert Zamora, Jr. said. “We took a lead and gave it right back. We are a young team and we are learning.”
