BREAKING: One of the two inmates who escaped the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center last weekend has been arrested on Thursday night, sources tell Action News
Xianni Stalling, 21, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in the 2800 block of N. 22nd Street in North Philadelphia on Wednesday and was arraigned on Thursday morning.The two prisoners who broke out from the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center, 18-year-old Ameen Hurst and 24-year-old Nasir Grant, remain on the loose.
Sources tell Action News that Stalling was actually an inmate at the same prison for an attempted murder charge. She was released in February. "There's a strong possibility if they didn't know each other on the streets, they would never have even met each other if they weren't housed on the same exact side of the jail," Robinson said.
"They can get contraband by cell phone, they have telephone lines inside the institution, they also have video tablets," he said. "So it's a wide range of communication inside these institutions."Hurst was charged with four murders in Philadelphia, including the killing ofGrant was being held on narcotics and gun violations.The prison didn't become aware the inmates were missing until 3 p.m. Monday, according to Prisons Commissioner Blanche Carney.
