Clark, the former Iowa star who was chosen No. 1 in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, agreed to an 8-year, $28-million deal with Nike that one industry expert told NJ Advance Media was “massive.” The deal includes her own signature shoe.Still, the 84-year-old Vaccaro believes Clark could have gotten more annual money along with a share of every Clark-branded item sold. That was the deal Vaccaro helped Jordan strike with on his initial Swoosh agreement in 1984.

Vaccaro told TMZ the fault likes not only with Clark’s representatives, which include Excel Sports Management, but the other shoe companies who dropped out of the race.Clark, who is set to make just $76,000 in WNBA salary, seemed pretty happy Friday night when she was in Indianapolis watching the Pacers beat the Milwaukee Bucks and celebrating the victory that put them up 2-1 in that series.Thank you for relying on us to provide the journalism you can trust.
