CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The son of former Cape Breton Eagles head coach Jake Grimes has landed with a new team for the remainder of the 2022-23 hockey season. Goaltender Dixon Grimes was signed by the Charlottetown Islanders on Dec. 28 after spending the first half of the year with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League.
The 19-year-old appeared in nine games with the Storm, posting a 1-4-0-0 record with a 4.06 goals-against-average and a .843 save percentage.
