Producer Jeremy Latcham describes a never-before-seen deleted scene from the first Iron Man movie and reveals why Kevin Feige kept it from the home release special features. Iron Man was the first MCU movie and laid the groundwork for the entire expanding universe. Tony Stark's origins are what establish his entire ideology as a hero moving forward, and the deleted scene would have further explained his ingenuity when building his first Iron Man suit to escape captivity.
Jeremy Latcham: There are still three or four deleted scenes from [Iron Man] that I don't think will ever be released because they were so bad. I remember Kevin saying to me in 2012, when I was like, "Should we put the Abu doing laundry deleted scenes out?" And Kevin was like, "No. We can never put out Abu doing laundry. People will know we don't know what we're doing. It'll be embarrassing if they see these scenes.
