Solar Opposites S4 roasts Beauty and the Beast.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT In Solar Opposites season 4, the Hulu comedy pokes fun at its new voice actor’s role in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast remake. After Solar Opposites debuted in 2020, the animated sitcom immediately received comparisons to Rick and Morty since it was similarly co-created by Justin Roiland and featured a sci-fi premise.

After Roiland was charged with domestic battery in January 2023, Solar Opposites season 4 recast the voice of Korvo with Dan Stevens. Korvo is an uptight alien who is often at odds with his playful partner Terry. Stevens excels in the role in Solar Opposites season 4 since the actor’s posh British accent is a perfect fit for Korvo’s persnickety persona.

Korvo’s Human Form Recreates A Famous Dan Stevens Role In Solar Opposites season 4, episode 11, “The Unwanted Personification of Terry,” the title characters slowly turn into humans one by one as they lose touch with their alien identity. Terry is the first to become human since he never cared about his alien heritage, swiftly followed by Jesse. Eventually, Yumyulack becomes a human and leaves Korvo alone in his attempt to locate the family’s missing spaceship.

When Korvo turns into an attractive long-haired man at the end of “The Unwanted Personification of Terry,” he looks like Stevens when he played Beauty and the Beast’s titular hero. Even more so, the character looks like Prince Adam in 1991’s original animated Beauty and the Beast, with human Korvo even dressing like that character. Korvo’s journey is actually also a perfect ironic inversion of the Prince’s arc in that Disney classic.

Solar Opposites Season 4 Flips Beauty And The Beast’s Story Korvo prefers being attractive and aggressively superficial to being a smart, assertive leader, unlike the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. Solar Opposites season 4 replacing Justin Roiland as Korvo was a risk since the character plays such a pivotal part in the series, but this storyline proved it was a good decision.
