Sola Gratia, an ecumenical women's chorus, will perform a concert to benefit the Oaks of Righteousness on May 7. The “Grace Abounds” concert begins at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary of Kingwood Methodist Church., an ecumenical women’s choir from Lake Houston that has performed twice for the White House, is reaching out to help women recently released from incarceration with a fundraiser on May 7.
“I was accepted on December 7 and made parole 20 days later. God needed me to be there,” Williamson said.“Many of these women want to change their lives, but their options are limited,” said Cyndy Brown, publicity chair for Sola Gratia. “During this time the residents participate in a program that incorporates life skills, job readiness, and access to basic healthcare services, as well as programs to sustain sobriety, provide guidance in money management, and foster continued spiritual growth,” she said.
