SOCAL FORECAST: Mountain, desert communities face risk of flash flooding Thursday with thunderstorms expected. Full forecast from abc7dallas here:

Los Angeles and Orange counties will see a foggy morning, followed by a high of 85 degrees in the afternoon when the sun comes out. Temps will drop to the 70s over the weekend with heavier cloud cover.

The valleys and Inland Empire will be mostly hot, hitting a high of 97 degrees on Thursday. Some areas near the Banning Pass will see a 10% chance of thunderstorms.Mountains on Thursday will see a 50% chance of thunderstorms starting around noon, which could cause flash flooding in burn areas, with a high of 76 degrees.
