Last week saw a flurry of activity on the MPs-not-running-again front, and Liberal MP Helena Jaczek has removed herself from the not-running list. So far, 46 are not re-offering, or 13.6 per cent of the House. “The new energy in the party and in my community has caused me to rethink my retirement, and I now intend to run in the next election,” she wrote in a statement on Jan. 20 endorsing Mark Carney for Liberal leader.
