Monday’s commute to and from work could be a snowy one for people throughout the GTA.

On Sunday evening, Environment Canada issued a winter weather travel advisory for several parts of the region, including Toronto, Mississauga-Brampton, Burlington-Oakville, Caledon, Halton Hills-Milton, Newmarket-Georgina-Northern York Region, Pickering-Oshawa-Southern Durham Region, and Vaughan-Richmond Hill-Markham.The national weather agency is calling for snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 centimetres and is warning of low visibility in areas where the snow is heavier snow.

Only a few centimetres are expected from this round of snow. Another more significant round of snow is expected to move into the area Monday evening. Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm will be possible. “Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
