Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch for Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island, Ontario, predicting heavy snowfall and reduced visibility.

Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch for Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island, Ontario. Snow squalls are possible Saturday into Sunday, bringing locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 15 to 25 cm, with higher amounts possible. Reduced visibility is also expected at times in heavy snow. Lake effect snow off Lake Superior will continue today and tonight before strengthening in intensity through the day Saturday. Snow squalls will likely last into Sunday morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Road closures are possible.
