While snow will be limited, there’s something for everyone in this storm with widespread rainfall totals of a half-inch to 1.5 inches. The heaviest rainfall is expected along the I-95 corridor and through central New Jersey.A winter storm will bring a combination of snow, ice, heavy rain and wind gusts up to 40 mph to New Jersey on Friday and into Saturday. The storm includes a coastal flooding threat along the Jersey Shore. More cold air is expected in March.
The intensity of coastal flooding will depend on the track of the storm and its timing, the weather service said. Based on current guidance, forecasters believe the largest threat minor coastal flooding includes Monmouth and northern Ocean County.
