Sully, a Snohomish County drug force K9, was exposed to near-fatal dose of fentanyl Thursday morning, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Thursday morning, Sully and his handler assisted the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office with a search warrant in Everett.Sully - who is trained in methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin - searched for about 10 minutes before returning to the car.Sully’s handler tapped Sully’s face several times, in an attempt to wake him up.His handler retrieved Narcan and administered two doses, and then called for backup from other Task Force units at the scene.On the way, Sully began to wake up.
After medical staff checked his vitals and monitored him for some time, Sully was released from the animal hospital.©2023 Cox Media Group
