“He looked really calm,” Senators coach D.J. Smith said of Sogaard. “I mean, he’s big, pucks hit him and he made the saves he had to make. They had plenty of chances, and he looked good and made a couple big saves in overtime.” As Sogaard noted post-game, it was also his first win at home and that made the two points even more special for him.
