Andlauer 57, a healthcare executive, is expected to be at the Senators’ Foundation charity golf tournament Tuesday. The expectation is he’ll be introduced as the club’s new owner with his partners at a splashy news conference at the Canadian Tire Centre once it’s signed off on. Leeder, 63, played a key role as an adviser in Andlauer’s successful bid to purchase the Senators. An executive at the Myers’ Automotive Group, Leeder is one of the founders of the club along with Ottawa businessmanLeeder was in key positions in the front office from 1992 until he was let go by Melnyk in Jan. 2017. Leeder has a deep knowledge of the way this city works, a good relationship with Mayorand is an easy fix to try to help get the business community back on board with the franchise.
