A sweet salute to a dessert staple
Apple. Cherry. Blueberry. Strawberry. Mincemeat. Pumpkin . And the reporter's favourites, Boston and/or Coconut Cream, or his mom's homemade Graham Wafer .
Remember the pies that came in cardboard boxes from a certain fast-food franchise that left a burn in your mouth for days, they were so hot? Statistics Canada, believe it or not, informs us there's a pie for all three meals in a day, and it's hard to argue with them. Using – naturally – a pie chart, StatsCan, on its website, rounded up some its favourite pies less than two years ago, in November 2023, and found how much some of the ingredients to make them cost on average.
