An Ontario Provincial Police officer was patrolling Highway 401 near Thickson Road in Whitby on Sunday at about 3:30 p.m. for speed limit enforcement, according to preliminary information via email from the Special Investigations Unit Sunday night. The driver was involved in a single vehicle rollover "a short time later" near Stevenson Road in Oshawa, the SIU said.
