Adam Savage, the Bay Area maker extraordinaire and former “Mythbusters” host, says fans can meet celebrities and get involved in the creative process at the August show.
Summer is still a couple of months away, but the calendar for downtown San Jose seems like it’s already getting full — a good thing for those who have felt cooped up after two years of COVID-19. Big events like Music in the Park, SubZERO and San Jose Jazz’s Summer Fest are already in the works.
The Bay Area’s own maker extraordinaire Adam Savage is returning as the event’s co-producer and says fans will not just get to see celebs like those but once again get involved in the creative process through hands-on experiences. “SiliCon is truly a giant, blank canvas that every attendee can draw on, and it is why our theme this year is ‘Creating the Improbable,’ ” said Savage, best known as the host of “Tested” and former co-host of “Mythbusters.
If you’ve been doing any spring cleaning or just have some old electronic equipment laying around the garage, you’ll have a chance to get rid of that junk this weekend in downtown San Jose. The Tech Interactive has partnered with the— the organization founded by Justin Imamura that’s on a mission to beautify San Jose — on an e-waste recycling event April 23 and 24 at the downtown San Jose learning center.
