After five seasons in Spooner, Wisc., the team is moving on to Michigan's upper peninsula.
THUNDER BAY — Road trips in the Superior International Junior Hockey League just got a little bit longer.
"On behalf of the SIJHL Board of Governors we are extremely pleased with the relocation of the Lumberjacks organization to the Ironwood, Michigan market,” Thibodeau said in a release. Spooner, the Lumberjacks' former home, is about 430 kilometres from Thunder Bay and about 120 kilometres south of Superior, Wisc.
