Sierra Metals' copper equivalent production dropped in 2022 due to lower output at Yauricocha copper mining

According to a company press release, consolidated quarterly throughput during Q4 2022 was 494,980 tonnes, a decrease of 12% when compared to Q3 2022, mainly due to the 43% decline in throughput at Yauricocha compared to Q3 2022. “While a 19% increase in throughput during Q4 2022 at the Bolivar mine, combined with higher grades in all metals, provided a 69% increase in copper equivalent production over the prior quarter, it was not enough to offset the decline in production at Yauricocha,” the company said.
