Sidney Crosby was among the many Pittsburgh Penguins players shaken up by the tragic death of Adam Johnson on the weekend.
Johnson was from Hibbing, Minnesota and he played college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. His only NHL goal came in a game against the Minnesota Wild and Cole Harbour's Crosby still remembers that night clearly, as well as Johnson's other talents."Seeing him score in his home was pretty cool," Crosby said."And just the way he skated. There are some guys that when you get out there with them, they can just flat-out fly. He could motor out there.

Very few NHL players wear neck protection and most seem content to keep it that way.Good for them. In the best interest of the players and leagues to move towards mandatory use. They’re pretty noninvasive nowadays, too.
