affecting network systems but says patients will continue to be treated.
“The Hospital for Sick Children is currently responding to a cybersecurity incident affecting several network systems and has called a Code Grey — system failure. The code went into effect at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, and is ongoing,” a release from the hospital read. “The safety and well-being of our patients and their families is our top priority. All patient care is continuing and there is currently no evidence that personal information or personal health information has been impacted.”
SickKids says people might experience difficulties calling into the hospital and accessing webpages like AboutKidsHealth.ca and the hospital’s careers application portal. The hospital says they have notified their government and hospital partners and are engaging with expert third parties to resolve the incident as soon as possible.
