That’s the question being asked by the B.C. government as it considers whether to allow marijuana consumers to have special venues in which to spark up a joint.
A few things about cannabis lounges are already set in stone: People can’t smoke or vape indoors due to health and safety regulations, so any lounge or festival setting would need to be outdoors. “At the same time, others have raised public health and safety concerns, which will need to be carefully weighed. We want to hear the views of all British Columbians so they can help shape how B.C.’s cannabis sector continues to evolve.”
