A man was in stable condition after he was shot at least twice Sunday afternoon with a shotgun in East Oakland.
OAKLAND — A 32-year-old man was wounded in a shotgun attack Sunday afternoon near the Laurel district in East Oakland, authorities said.The shooting was reported about 3:08 p.m. Sunday in the 4600 block of MacArthur Boulevard, east of High Street and just north of Interstate 580.
Police said the man was walking when an SUV stopped next to him and someone inside the vehicle shot at him at least twice with a shotgun. The wounded man was able to make it to a nearby convenience store where police and paramedics were called.A motive for the shooting is under investigation. No arrests have been made.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
