A man shot five times on Christmas in 2019 would have ended up dead if his attacker hadn’t run out of ammunition, Lancaster County prosecutors said in court earlier this month. The Sept. 8 hearing resulted in Judge Merrill Spahn sentencing 26-year-old Onearl Parker III, of Lancaster, to 18 1/2 to 40 years in prison on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, firearms and drug offenses.
Spahn also ordered Parker to pay $454,000 in restitution toward the victim’s medical bills, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
