It’s time to give Dricus Du Plessis his flowers.
While the South African might look awkward and uncoordinated at times, he is undeniably effective. That was proven true yet again at UFC 305, where Du Plessis submittedin the fourth round of the evening’s main event in Perth, Australia, on Saturday night.
“Stillknocks” is clearly deserving of more prominent placement in Sherdog’s pound-for-pound rankings, and he makes his debut in the Top 10 this week. Adesanya, on the other hand, is 1-3 in his last four Octagon appearances, a stretch that sees him exit the poll completely.
