The new chemicals complex gives the energy giant access to key Northeastern markets and natural gas from the nation’s most prolific gas play.in Pennsylvania as the company works to move production closer to a key market.
Located in the heart of the Appalachian shale basin, the facility is the first of its scale in the Northeast. It can produce 1.6 million metric tons annually of polyethylene used in consumer plastics such as films and containers as well as plastic pipes and molding used in industrial facilities.
