A lunchroom employee told a student who didn't have enough money for his lunch to pay the next day. He did. A week later, she says she was fired.
When a student at a New Hampshire high school put items on his tray that he didn't have the money for, lunchroom employee Bonnie Kimball didn't think it was a big deal.
She told the student to make sure to pay the next day. She wasn't worried as she had known the boy's parents since they were children, and had no doubt that the $8 lunch tab would soon be taken care of. And the next morning, she told CNN, that's exactly what happened.About a week later though, she was fired by the district manager of Café Services, the food services company that employed her.

Mom Sleeps In Past SunriseWOBURN, MA―Noting that she had somehow managed to sleep through both the dawn chorus of birds and her neighborhood’s early morning garbage pickup, 53-year-old local mother Laura Maloney confirmed that she did not awaken Monday until after the sun had risen. “Oh my gosh, it’s light out already!” said Maloney, adding that she could not believe how late it was and that she would have to leave for work in less than three hours. “I’m so mad at myself. This is going to throw me off and make it impossible to fall asleep at a reasonable time tonight. I’ll probably be up until 9.” Maloney went on to acknowledge that she should have known better than to stay awake to watch all of 60 Minutes the previous night.
