Mendes’ Rogers Centre show in Toronto becomes his highest-grossing & best-selling engagement ever.tops the Hot Tours recap dated Sept. 14 with the final reports from the 2019 North American leg of the Shawn Mendes: The Tour. The 49-date trek around the U.S. and Canada finished Sept. 6 with a hometown show at Toronto’s Rogers Center, marking Mendes’ first headline stadium concert.
Zoomed out, Shawn Mendes: The Tour has earned $69.5 million so far, including $46.9 million from the North American leg. It is already the biggest trek of Mendes’ career, topping the reported $35 million from 2017’s Illuminate World Tour. The 2019 tour has played more shows, sold more tickets, and grossed more dollars than any previous Mendes tour, averaging $914,000 and 12,863 tickets each night.
Still, 30 scheduled dates remain for Shawn Mendes: The Tour in Asia, Australia, and South America. It will be Mendes’ most extensive runs in each continent, unlocking his yet unproven global touring prowess. If Mendes can increase his per-night average in Australia by 30% from his last tour , he’ll target $7.5 million across nine dates.
