Quinte West council has appointed former councillor and Mayoral candidate Karen Sharpe to take the Sidney Ward seat left vacant by the death of Terry Cassidy.
Her appointment did not come without controversy with some on council and some residents believing the person who finished just out of the running in October’s municipal election, former councillor Al Dewitt, should have been appointed.Former Quinte West Councillor Allan DeWitt.
