Hill was acquired from the Arizona Coyotes along with a 2022 seventh-round draft pick in a trade for goaltender Josef Korenar and a 2022 second-round pick.

The 25-year-old is expected to compete for the starting role next season with free-agent signing James Reimer. Hill appeared in 19 games for the Coyotes last season, recording a 9-9-1 record with a .913 save percentage and 2.74 goals-against average. "We're pleased to get Adin under contract solidifying our goaltending position for the coming season," general manager Doug Wilson said in a press release.
