“I’ll be a governor for all 13 million Pennsylvanians, whether you voted for me or not,” Shapiro said onShapiro, whose lead over GOP state Sen. Doug Mastriano was 14 points as of Friday, received the most votes of any governor candidate in history with more than 2.9 million, reportedDuring his radio appearances, Shapiro, the current state attorney general, said his three top priorities will be investing more in public education, improving public safety and growing the state’s economy.
With votes still being counted, Democrats are on pace to flip the state House while Republicans will maintain control of the Senate. Mastriano opposes abortion without exceptions and Republicans in the General Assembly have taken steps to get a question about abortion rights onto a state referendum.
