Kittle has thrived in his first game back from injury over the last two years.
. When asked if he could have played last week, Kittle said, “Yes and no. It was not something we really wanted to push because if something were to happen, it probably would have added another two to three weeks.”
The tight end is confident he’s ready to play against the Broncos, however, saying he looks forward to “catching a pass and hopefully running it through somebody.” While he has struggled with injuries throughout his career, Kittle is one of the 49ers’ best weapons — if not one of the best weapons in the entire NFL — when he’s on the field. In 2021, Kittle ranked fourth in total yards by a tight end despite missing three full games.
